went in with my fiance. helped by both sandy and anthony, asst manager and manager. they sold me a band that came as part of a set so i thought that was nice. band wasnt the size i wanted so rather than shrink it they just ordered hersize. came in a week later and it was ready. but, ring was a bit small, so they said i can come in and exchange it or resize it. even offered me a free carnival cruise. price was a little high, but i got a 1/2 ctw princess channel white gold band for 900, however the color was better quality than other stores offering me cheaper prices. i thought customer service was great thats why im wriitng this review. brought out water, cleaned my fiances engagement ring, gave us gift cards towards a future purchase, probably m,y wedding band! all around great experience
If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. The first time BH and I came here a few weeks ago, we were quite pleased with the customer service. ?The big guy (owner?) and the Chinese lady were working there helped my boyfriend and I pick out a setting and a diamond. ?The center was around 1 carat, princess cut and the setting was around $650. ?Total was around 10k. . .and a few days later, the owner called my boyfriend and said he would give us the ring for around $8750. ?Really cheap.Good thing we didn’t buy it then and there. ?The owner told us he was having a diamond show today (11/27) and that we should stop by.We did and we were HORRIFIED by what we found. ?The service was AWFUL. ?The sales people that helped us at IOTR, Diamond Center, even Helzberg remembered us and even the settings and diamonds we were looking at. ?The Chinese lady and the owner did not recognize us.Bad mistake. The Chinese lady helped us again and showed us the SAME setting for $6k. ?She said it was half off and now $3k. ?Bullshit. ?She even had the nerve to show me a setting that was $17k!!!! ?I nearly choked when she showed me the price tag, and even had the AUDACITY to say it was now half off for $8k.People, the prices she quoted me were for JUST THE SETTINGS and DID NOT include the center stone. ?I got really curt with her, and basically straight up told her (loud enough so others could hear) that I could get the same setting but BETTER quality with BETTER diamonds for way less – for $1500 or less. ?I grabbed BH’s arm and we got out of that hell hole. Please do not EVER buy from Romano’s. ?Obviously they care more about making a profit than helping out customers. ?To think they thought we were stupid enough to fall for the “raising prices up only to give you half off” scam to make you think you’re getting a better deal – that won’t work on us. ?We’ve shopped around enough and been to enough places that we can smell a rat when it comes crawling out of a sewer.
Well, the good news is that I found the ring I want here! The service started out great from a lady named Sandy. She showed me rings beginning with the really expensive ones. I told her those were way out of the budget so she took me over to a lesser selection. In this selection I found the perfect ring. Sandy moves very fast and jumped straight into talking money with my boyfriend. It probably took about 10 minutes from when we walked in to Romano’s, to talking money. I was kind of… “NBD but really?” about that. One thing that really annoyed me was that while she was talking money with my boyfriend, I was naturally browsing more rings through the cases, and then, naturally, wanted to try on more huge expensive rings just for fun. I mean, after all, we were only in there for about 20 minutes. When I asked to try on a few more rings, she kept telling me to “hold on” and “let me finish” in a bossy way. My boyfriend and I would look at each other and giggle or secretly make faces when she’d do this. It happened a few times. Luckily, we’re not super picky and were just there to have fun and find the right ring… So we did that – with each other and had a great time. Sandy is a very nice lady and I do believe she had our best interest in mind. We’d go back, but we have experienced better. And I’m really happy that I found the ring I want! I’ve been looking, trust me. :)
This store is just full of BLING!! G’ddam Stainless steel jewelry!! Don’t go blind in here, folks rhinestone jewelry!! This is your one stop for all the bling you could ever need and/or want. I stopped in here once, before the store moved upstairs near JC Penney. ?I noticed, they sell a lot of gawdy things. ?They sell everything from iced out watches and cuff links to huge cross pendants and rings of all sizes. ?I do not know how the quality of their merchandise is, but you could definitely go blind in here. They offer in house financing as well. ?Just like every other jewelry store, they are preparing for their Valentines Day sales!! Look to them if your girl or guy has some serious taste or is just picky and wants something real unique. THey will even make custom pieces for you. While the sales people seem real cold, they are quite friendly. I have yet to purchase anything here. . . but that’s because the piece I like is about $7,000+

Very talented jeweler Stainless steel jewelry, when I first got my engagement ?ring I was blow away by how stunning it was Body jewelry, Eytan told me that in years I would grow tied of it and want something new. Well I have never grow tied of it, its as beautiful today as the first day I saw it. My husband has gifted me with other items made by Eytan and I have never been disappointed with the quality or beauty.
In short, I love Eytan’s.

My wife and I bought our wedding rings at Gold Empire 15 years ago and every piece of jewelry we’ve bought since then has come from there. ?It’s a family owned business that has a great selection and for the quality of the jewelry you won’t get a better price any place else (especially not at the malls). ?You won’t find better customer service either. Johnny is a very personable guy and it’s obvious he cares about his customers and does whatever he can to make sure his customers are happy when they leave the store. ?I promise you won’t find better quality and prices. ?We’ve sent many people there and they’ve all been completely satisfied with the merchandise, price and customer service.
When I was looking for a place to purchase rings for my wife and myself, some college friends of mine recommended Gold Empire. I knew nothing about the process of picking out a nice ring but the family at Gold Empire was very helpful. They provided a friendly, low pressure atmosphere with knowledgeable staff that helped me make the best choice. Needless to say, my wife was very pleased. If you want a quality piece of jewelry, excellent service and great prices Stainless Steel Rings, you should really check out Gold Empire. You’ll be glad you did!
I was referred to Gold Empire by a family friend. I knew what I wanted for my husband and I so I sent ?pictures to Johnny. He made my rings exactly the way the picture looks. I am very pleased with the result of the rings he made me. The quality was great.
I was referred to Johnny Kalo and Gold Empire Jewelry by a coworker. Being that I live in AZ and couldn’t make the trip to Johnny’s store in CA, I have to admit that I was somewhat skeptical about what he was offering. I told him specifically what kind of engagement ring I was looking for. He said that he could fabricate anything that I saw anywhere else. I sent him a picture and link to the ring that I was considering from Jared’s. Not only did Johnny come through as promised but he saved me over $2700. The craftsmanship and quality of the material (platinum) and diamond were beyond my expectations. Johnny is a professional and understands, not only the jewelry business, but more importantly customer service. Put your trust in Johnny and Gold Empire Jewelry. You won’t regret it. My profile picture is proof. Thanks Johnny.

I love this little shop. ?I wish I could buy everything in it. ?This is my go-to store when I can’t figure out what to get someone for a present. ?I will always, ALWAYS, find something for them here. ?Although, be forewarned, that this place seems to cater to a predominantly feminine aesthetic. ?Though they do have a little something for everyone. ?Cards, journals, jewelry, glassware, etc. ?Each item looks as if it was specifically picked to fit the style of the store, which means that when you give it to that special (or even not so special) someone, you are giving them something that has a lot of thought put behind it.They often have sales, although things are already reasonably priced. ?They also provide gift-wrapping services for free. ?Minimum charge on a credit card is $10. ?My friend only wanted to get two greeting cards, and had to go to the ATM across the street.
I adore this little gift shop! ?I seldom get a chance to spend much time in it, but I find so many great little and inexpensive treasures (under $20) that I always go away with a bag full of great “stuff.” ?Even though from the outside the place looks somewhat traditional, their very eclectic selection makes this spot of one my top three stops for gifts in LA. ?It never disappoints… especially to stay within my budget or just to get a great hostess gift, etc. to store away until needed. The owners / staff are super nice, too.
I LOVE THIS STORE! ?It is so cute and nestled on Larchmont which is possibly the best street in LA! ?Everytime I need to buy a cute, unique and fun gift for someone Sterling Silver Bangles, I know I can always find what I need at Village Heights. ?I often stop by to browse just to see what they have in stock as shopping here just makes me Happy! ?I suggest everyone be sure to check it out. . .you’ll add it to your list of favs too!
Residents in and nearby Larchmont Village are clinging onto the small slice of mom&pop stores that line Larchmont Blvd. btw. Beverly and 3rd. ?Even distant neighbors know that a developer got his claws on the land and is trying to bully the unique and quaint into closed for business. We have a job to do: a responsibility to our friends who hand pick each and every item in their store, that remember your name and the last purchase you made, who I may even send my boyfriend to pick out a gift alone. ?Tucked in next to Peet’s Coffee and easy to miss from all the hanging out that happens in front of the coffee shop is my go-to wedding, housewarming and “I don’t know these people so well” gift store.I’ve never walked into the store without being greeted with a friendly “hello”. ?Lewis is our guy who will find the perfect gift even if I’m not seeing anything. ?He has vision and he is someone my boyfriend and I love to visit which is a gift itself. ?At first glace, you may think “oh I’ve seen this stuff at other stores”, but look harder. ?Look above you and on the walls. ?Then look at the price tags. ?Notice some items you’ve never seen before? ?See some price stickers that look like a mistake? ?That’s Village Heights and that’s why I never leave the store without the gift I was looking for. ?From unique platters (clever but never kitschy), ornate glasses, a writing section, handbags, local jewelers work on display to more functional items like a cute wine bag with room for a bottle of wine, plus everything you need to pop and drink it (plastic cups – smart), you’ll find the perfect gift and probably snap up something for yourself. ?Why not? ?It’s like a cupcake – you deserve it and (unlike the cupcake) you won’t even feel guilty. Two of my favorite collections are VH’s cuff links and business card holders. ?They CZ jewelry, and pretty much everything in the store, look far more expensive than you’ll be paying for them. ?Who doesn’t have business cards in LA? ?How often are they wedged into a big bulky wallet (awkward!)? For $30, treat your friends, your stylist, realtor, dad, trainer, graduate – um anyone who works or is trying to work – ?to a holder. ?My friends have *loved* these gifts. ?We had to buy a gift for an agent and all we knew is that he was a guy. ?No age, no marital status – that was it. ?We bought him a “typewriter” themed card holder and yup silver jewelry, he loved it.There’s no rush and no pressure so peruse until you’ve looked at everything twice (during the holidays they have homemade treats and sometimes cocktails!) and hey, I know it’s hard, but ask for help, even if your budget is $25 – they don’t judge. It’s like having a personal shopper. ?Oh and they are mac daddy gift wrappers – chic paper and ribbon – for free!Check the site for hours: the only downside about the village is that their stores open late and close early, so if you have a quick gift to buy, make sure that they are open.

A dear friend, who is a goldsmith, suggested I go to Regency, when I wanted to have a necklace repaired. This was back in the late 90’s and Regency has been my go-to jewelry repair and retail shop ever since. I own a lot of vintage pieces, and Regency is able to do cleaning and repairs with the attention to detail, those pieces require. Bob is an expert appraiser, and always has interested new and vintage pieces in the display cases. With the added convenience of parking in the back of the building, what is not to love about this place!
I’d been going to a jeweler in Santa Monica for prong tightenings since 2007. ?After inconsistent and unwelcoming experiences there, I posted an honest negative review which blew up in my face (many harassing phone calls from the business, slanderous responses to my review, etc.). ?So… this time when I had a loose prong, I was without a “regular” jeweler to go to.Lots of yelp searching later wholesale jewelry, I landed on Regency. ?I’m so glad I did!I walked in yesterday around noon, expecting to drop my ring off, be told to return in a week to pick it up, and be charged anywhere between $50-100… because that’s what I’m used to for this repair.I handed my ring to the woman behind the counter. ?She complimented it, took it into the back room, and came back out to chat. ?I felt a little awkward, not sure why she was making conversation instead of giving me a claim slip and sending me on my way. ?About 90 seconds later pearl earrings, I heard “it’s done Pearl jewelry!” from the back room. ?I’m sorry, what? When she handed my ring back and I took out my wallet, she winked and said “oh, there’s no charge for this, dear.”I walked out of that place beaming. ?What a difference from what I’m used to!The jewelry under the counter was gorgeous… plenty of eye candy to look at while I was waiting. ?Regency will be my first stop next time I’m in the market for a new piece of jewelry (which, sadly, doesn’t happen as often as I’d like). ?After the perfect service experience I had yesterday, I don’t really want to go anywhere else!
Exceptional service, value, and work. ? I had a ring sized, same day, for a reasonable price. ?I had a broken watch that I took to two other shops. One said, ?$200 or forget it, one said, $60 but I really don’t want to and you better pay in advanc. I could not believe other watch repair shops turned down work! ?They did not do that here, they gladly fixed the watch, for only $35. ?I like their work ethic and great customer service.
A bent antique engagement ring.Friendly Staff.Two minute repair.No Charge.Five Stars.
I have been going to Regency since the early 80’s. I will not go anywhere else. Their work is awesome.
Regency Jewelry is the best jeweler in town!i took a ring in for repair. needed to replace a prong holding the center stone in place. they repaired the prong, polished the stone and cleaned the ring. when i went to pick it up, it looked like a new ring.the owner is incredibly nice + helpful.i went back a few weeks ago to have him look at a pair of diamond earrings that i received for a gift. ?just needed him to check the color and size. he looked at them, gave me his expert opinion on the quality, cleaned them and didn’t charge me anything!he’s got a customer for life. they also sell beautiful estate jewelry. if you’re looking for a unique gift, this is the place to go.
They are very good at fixing jewelry, but some of the people working there ?are sometimes not very tactful. ?Others are very helpful
I went here based on Jason M’s rec and the fact that it’s a stone’s throw from my apartment and had a similarly helpful experience. They replaced a screw back on an earring for me, it took less than ten minutes and, best of all, free parking!
They did a nice job resizing my engagement ring…they did it ?the same day for only $40. Also, they were friendly and gave us a lot of information about the ring. Really good experience.
